Safety Plan Creation and Follow Up

The Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians – Anishnaabek Community and Family Resources (ACFS) - Advocacy Resource Center (ARC) is a tribally operated culturally honoring community based victim services program.  In order to honor the sovereignty of individuals seeking supportive victim services, ARC staff will implement the following: 

ARC Staff will provide safety planning assistance to all clients immediately upon intake and as often as necessary during service provisions.  

Safety planning may be oral and / or in writing depending upon client preferences.  Clients may take a written safety plan with them if they determine it is safe for them to do so.  Clients may also request to have their written safety plan shredded or stored in their client file.
